Togu Audio Line has released TAL-Phaser, a carefully modelled stereo phaser effect. The user can choose between two, four and six stages and it is possible to adjust the lowest and highest frequency of the filter.

Puremagnetik has just released Punchpak, a collection of sounds created from the 8 bit synthesizer chip on the classic Nintendo® (NES) gaming console. All sounds have been mapped out and programmed into the Ableton Live 6, EXS24 and Kontakt 2 environments. Puremagnetik has taken the sounds a step further with added effects that include ambience and arpeggiation. Punchpak also includes a selection of multisampled menus with lo-fi glitch, noise and static sounds. With patch names like "Zelda", "Castlevania", and "Mega Man" Puremagnetik has recaptured these vintage 1980's video game sounds for the modern DAW.

The Ableton Live version of Punchpak includes instrument racks for both Sampler and Simpler while the Kontakt 2 version comes with a customized KSP panel for easy editing.

Adobe has announced Audition 3, a major upgrade to their recording, mixing, editing, and mastering software for Windows.

In the United States and Canada, Adobe Audition 3 is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 2007. Adobe Audition 3 will be available for an estimated street price of $349, directly from Adobe or through Adobe Authorized Resellers. Upgrades from any previous version of Adobe Audition or Adobe Production Studio cost $99. Pre-ordering is available. Note that a 30-day trial version of Adobe Audition 3 will be available for download from the Adobe website shortly after the product begins shipping.

Starplugs has released Rubicon, a parametric equalizer with ten filter-sections designed with "pd's quantum filter technology".

Yellow tools has released a powerful free version of Independence - the sampler workstation. Independence Free 2.0 is based on the new Independence 2.0 engine, which will also be released this month.

PowerFX announces the release of two products that address the surging interest in the circuit bending scene with "Burning Circuits" the downloadable CD and "Toy 'n Voice" the downloadable sample pack. Both titles are created by the U.K. sound designer and breakbeat artist Audio Android who is also known for his recording under the mnemonic DLP alongside scene legend Danny Mac, releasing ferocious chunks of vinyl onto the buzzing London Breakbeat circuit.

"Burning Circuits" includes 345 sound files of toy bends, devices short circuiting, robotic voices, electro effects, kid keyboard surgery and percussive glitch hits and rhythms and is available for $59. "Toy 'n Voice" includes more toy sound molestations and robotic voices and is available for $10.

TP works has released a new VSTi plugin, the Drumhound, a 16 stereochanneled drumsampler with sounds of almost every famous drumcomputer included for use in Windows based VSTi hosts. The Drumhound has 128 presets with over 2000 sounds onboard.

Wusik has just released Wusik Tool Over-Sampler which lets you load a VST instrument and select 2 to 4 times over-sampling. So, if you are operating at 48khz, at 2x oversampling you get 96khz, potentially resulting in a much smoother sound, with no aliasing. An option to Bypass all Over-Sampler instances will also be added, for quick turning off while playing, and on while rendering.

Wusik Tool Over-Sampler costs $29.95 but is free to all users who subscribed to Wusik's membership / magazine prior to 13th September 2007. Note that a demo version is available, with the following limitations: you can't change anything on the loaded VST GUI and Song/Preset/Bank saving is not implemented.
