VxPlug has been developed to load VST plug-ins within a host application with the ability to control them from a single user interface, as well as define the point where audio processing takes place in a flexible manner. Host parameter automation is supported.

Actually, vxPlug consists of 2 plug-ins : vxPlugControl and vxPlugClient.

vxPlugControl loads VST plug-ins and controls their parameters. Host parameter automation is supported.
The point of processing audio in the host application is determined by vxPlugClient. Every instance of vxPlugClient is able to send and receive audio data to/from vxPlugControl. Within vxPlugControl, the audio data is routed to the plug-ins you have loaded before.

RME releases the RME DMC-842, the first multi-channel digital microphone controller. The manufacturer guarantees it to be the most flexible and most compatible AES42 interface available.

In addition to its role as an interface, the DMC-842 also acts as a power supply and control device for digital microphones according to the official AES42 standard (you can download a pdf HERE). Mode 1 and Mode 2, are currently supported by Neumann, Sennheiser and Schoeps, among others.
