Hey guys.

Need some help here. Running Logic 7.2.3.

My recording setup goes lke this

Mics: MXL2001, MXL603, Electro Voice MC300, Shure58ABeta

Run into a behringer Eurorack mixer (before they were crap)

Into a tascam DP01, which is a hard disk multitrack. That is hooked into a pair of big Realistic Studio headphones, and a pair of MAudio Monitors.

Ill track in my basement, bring the tascam up to my room, and use the USB fucntion to drag and drop my files into logic, which are all 16bit 44100hz uncompresed .wav files.

I imported my stuff in last night, and my god does it sound aweful. I was using my Maudio monitors on my Dual G5, and the sound coming out was so middy, so cold. ESPECIALLY on the guitars.

I plugged the tascam into my momnitors, just to check that the room wasnt interfearing much, and the sound from the tascam was WAY different. But in iTunes, or even quicktime preview, im hearing the tracks closer to how they were recorded.

Also, im sure its a setting issue but everything i export has that internet radio sound to it. Of corse the Bounced files are nothing like what i just heard in the timeline. I assume i have to do a Bounce Realtime or lock all my tracks first then bounce realtime?

Can anyone offer any help? any suggestions? Ive never had this issue before.

Thanks in advance.

hey guys...hopefully this is a simple find

Currently iim using MIDI in garage band, and i play along with the MIDIs (Written in guitar pro) to record the live instruments

But when it comes to drums, we dont have mics (or a perminent drummer for that matter) so we'd take our MIDI drums, and put them in FLStudio on my bros PC. He'd work his magic, and spit back wav files, each wav would be a different drum/cymbal, which is sweet, so i can pan/add SFX. Its not the best quality, but thats fine, cause our guitar/bass vocals isnt, so it matches PERFECTLY.

Only it takes forever (i dont think hes doing something right) and im GUESSING theres an instrument/synth that can do simply what im doing? IE take my MIDI track and trigger it as it plays...really looking just for drums and a simple way to add in the sounds without having to program the entire soundfont and such

Any suggestions? some AU plugin or something? Thanks in advance!

hi guys. im sick and tired of waiting for a guitar pro for mac. ive got a new amp comming, im out of practice, and that was a vital tool

i messed with harmony assistant. it has a guitar pro importer, however, after about 20 minutes the notes get jumbled together.

now i know that guy is gonna pop in and tell me all about Dguitar. IMO its not for me if i cant have the auto scrolling, single bar playing, and ability to save as ANYTHING. Ive tried it, and found it pretty limited.

now i know we have enough tab/sheet music programs for mac. Harmony assistant, make music finale, tabPrompter, is there anything that has a plugin thatll let me import a GP3/GP4 file. i dont care if it doesnt save as guitar pro, but id rather not have to pollute my desk with another PC just to gain the 1 and only program i couldnt take with me when i switched over.

thanks in advance guys.

hi guys,

ive asked alittle here and there about this. Never looked at it in GB though. After all it did come with OSX.

Anywyas, is there a way i can record .wav files, and turn them into an instrument for GB?

i see theres a DLS import option, but i dont really have a way of making DLS soundfonts.

Thanks in advance guys.

higuys. im looking to record our drummers drums individually to create a soundfont. Im running an old wallstreet G3 just for portability sake, it wont run protools free (yet) simply because i dont have enough ram, so i need something else.

Thanks in advance.
