I dont know what's the problem is.

I got a new Mac book pro and I bought a normal Logitech USB Optical Mouse. Using the Mouse on a plain black mouse pad. Tracking speed set to maximum.

the repsonse to fine movement is poor (e.g. it's slow in response in jobs as simple as working with the transport buttons in Ableton Live). got pissed off after 5 mins use. Anyone can suggest what's the problem is? Really dont know which part of the link has the problem. Tried the mouse on other surfaces: no help.
Is it the Mac? the Mouse or the USB?

I 've been using ball mouse with PS/2 for years in Windows. Although it is old-school but I find it works well for me...

have tried to find a USB ball mouse in 4-5 shops , all says they dont hv such a thing.

pls forgive my poor english..Hope someone can give me some light. thx!!!!

Hi all, I just bought a Mac Book Pro 1.83GHz and 1.5Gb Ram.

I'm totally new to Mac. would appreciate if anyone could show me what should I do to set up the Mac OS for audio ? (e.g. turning off useless process maybe?) My main use is for live performance.

Thanks!!

hi all , my first post here biggrin.gif

i'm going to buy my first mac and it will be used more on performance.
my main software will be Ableton Live 5.

i'm considering 12" Powerbook G4 with 1.25Gb ram, do u guys think it would be enough for the job? I know Macbook Pro is definitely faster and newer but my budget is a bit tight so i think it's not my choice unless powerbook is not enough.

2nd question, is the 5400rpm harddisk stable enough for live performace?

Thanks !!
